The quarry in today’s gag reminds me very much of the green brontosaurus who was the mascot of the old Sinclair Oil Co., which was merged into Exxon around forty-five years ago. There was a Sinclair station in town, and I remember at least once washing with a cake of bath soap that was shaped like the Sinclair ‘saur.
