I had a pair of French Bulldogs that were brothers (littermates). We would refer to the smaller of the two (he was the biological runt of the litter) as The Don and his brother as his Made Man. The Don became a parapelgic when he was 2 1/2yrs old (lived to 9yrs, Dad is amazing making carts), and there were times I would be upstairs, hear a Frenchie woof, and then the thumps as the Made Man came up to find me. I would tell him to tell his brother I would be right there, and off he would go back down the stairs. My parents’ dog, a Chow mix that they took in after an elderly neighbor passed, was terrified of The Don and was very careful around him – probably because his natural movement without his wheels was so different. Miss those ittle thugs. The Don was named Genghis and Made Man was Kublai.
