Is Henry smiling because he’s in a mellow mood (with his Labrador Retriever heritage in control), or is he smiling because he anticipates a tasty lunch (with his Eastern Mountain Dragon side in control)?

On a second thought, perhaps squirrels dart in front of our cars (and unicycles) for the same reason that the dog charged Henry and came up short: Poor depth perception. After all, squirrels’ eyes are set rather far apart and almost on the sides of their heads. (Cf. “B. C.” on the same date — I believe). At least that’s what I thought when a squirrel dashed in front of my car this morning. (I hope that he made it).
